Back in May 2015, an Australian prospector named David Hole was searching for gold near Maryborough, in a region with a long and colorful mining past. His metal detector picked up a signal, and he dug out a blackened, reddish rock. It was surprisingly heavy for its size, and Hole took it home without knowing what he had. The video follows the story of that rock and asks a tantalizing question: could the mineral hidden inside be worth more than gold itself?
